Mechanized clockwork dolls and new steam-powered devices are spreading throughout the country. Volume #1: (Eps #1-9) The Wind Gang is a group of clockwork and steam controllers who believe in using their creations in battle and violently create the new Industrial Era. They attack the peaceful village of a young clockwork controller named Hiwou one day and completely destroy it. Hiwou and his friends escape with a giant clockwork doll named Homura. Together they begin a journey to find his father and restore peace to the land. Volume #2: (Eps #10-19) Karakuri, or "mechancial puppets," are appearing at festivals throughout the country. Most take delight in these mysterious and magical contrivances of a new age, but one day, all that changes when the Wind Gang, a group of steam punks who are bent on using the power of clockwork dolls to wreck havok, attack the village of young boy named Hiwou. Hiwou and his friends are exploring a cave when the plunder occurs, but they quickly make a plan to strike back. With the help of a giant doll named Homura, they defy the warnings of Hiwou's father, and enter into a battle to save their town! Volume #3: (Eps #11-28) It has been nearly eight years since feudal Japan was visited by the first black ships of the western world. An uneasy treaty has been forced between the United States and the Tokugawa Shogunate. Resentment grows amongst the populace and a new sentiment spreads: "Revere the Emperor and drive out the Westerners!" Spreading almost as quickly are a number of clockwork and steam-powered devices. Manipulating these devices is an evil organization bent on conquering the nation and forcing a new industrial era, the Wind Gang. A young member of a tribe of machine people, Hiwou, has recently discovered the gift of his heritage in the form of an ancient and powerful clockwork doll known as Homura. It is up to Hiwou, piloting the giant Homura, to stop the Wind Gang and avert the tides of war. This clockwork doll might just be able to change a bit of history! |
