In Getter Robo Armageddon, not long ago, alien lifeforms appeared and swarmed across the Moon, threatening the Earth below.

Humanity responded with overwhelming force, fielding an army of Super Robots powered by the recently-discovered Getter Rays, and with it drove the Invaders to a bloody extinction. Then, tragedy struck when the Getter Team leader and pilot of Getter-1, Ryoma Nagare, killed Dr. Saotome, the pioneer of Getter technology. Ryoma stewed in prison, knowing only one thing: someone framed him. And not only was Ryoma set up, but Dr. Saotome isn't dead! Returning from the grave, Saotome has revenge on his mind, and has set in motion his plans to destroy the world... and the sudden return of the Invaders seems like no coincidence.
