Two of Ghibli's masterpieces comes finally to Blu-ray! It was only in 1988 that Ghibli produced two films, and they both became a reference and not only for the anime fans.
The first one, "My Neighbor Totoro" created and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, got a huge success in Japan and it's still be broadcasted every year and appreciated by kids and adults. The DVD stayed within the Top 500 in Oricon Charts for four years.
The second one, "Grave of the Fireflies" is based on a Japanese novel. It was directed by Isao Takahata ("Heidi") and characters were designed by Yoshifumi Kondo. Actually, in some French middle school, students watch "Grave of Fireflies" during second world war studies.
The Blu-ray limited set includes both films with A4 size pamphlet!
"My Neighbor Totoro" blu-ray comes many foreign languages (English, French, Chinese, German, Italian. Korean), storyboard, script, non-credit opening and ending theme, trailers.
"Grave of the Fireflies" blu-ray includes only English subtitles, storyboard, storyboard with audio (3mn), script, interview of Isao Takahata (18mn),Roger Joseph Ebert interview (12mn), trailers and a slideshow of material (character setting, background, illustration etc.)!
